Myth 1 : vegetarians only eat salads.

Truth 1: The vegetarian nutrition is complete in nutrient ingredients and flavors.  We shouldn't forget that 60% of greek cuisine is compsed of vegetarian recipes such as briam, fresh beans , rice filled vegetables, zuchini ' meat ' balls, revitho, fava and hundreads of other recipesthat in Greece we consume daily and can be found on our table regularly.  In many cases meat products can be replaced in flavorful ways, by their vegan / vegetarian counterparts and Rosebud Green's menu is a blatant proof of it as one can find the equivalents of moussaka , hot dogs, burgers, souvlakis, only to name a few.

 

Myth number 2 : Vegan / Vegetarian diets are lacking proteins, iron, calcium, and other nutritional elements

Truth number 2: A properly balanced vegetarian diet diet provides all substances the human systems need to function properly.  So when we consume natural products we get all nutritional substances avoiding all meat related toxines

 

Truth number 3:  The Greek ancient philosophers were all vegetarian.  Certainly mozt of them followed a vegetarian regime of nutrition called ' Pythagorian Nutrition'.  They further believed that vegetarianism  ot only was good for the body but also for the soul and they called their diet (Still , in more modern times , humanity's most powerful thinkers followed vegetarian nutritional guidelines  .  Such brainy individuals include Albert Einstein, George Bernanrd Shaw, Benjamin Franklin, Leonard Tolstoi, Mahatma Gandi, Adam Ferguson and many others

 

Truth number 4: Vegetarians are healthier than meat eaters.  Indeed studies focusing on an overall healthier lifestyle that includes also physical exercize have proven that ' veggie eaters' are less prone to modern day diseases than the alternative meat eating sedentary lifestyles  Such diseases include cardiac complications and various types of cancers that are related to excessive livestock consumption. It has also been proven that the followers of a properly balanced vegetarian diet enjoy of a better mood, are more energetic and they show significantly decreased signs of aging.

 

Truth number 5: Vegetarian nurishment is also an ecological one.  As a matter of fact, many Ecological and Environmental Scientists emphasize that vegetarianism may very well be the cure to the world wide hunger. Last but certainly not least, a recent report of the United Nations show that  a smaller consumption of meat related products is necessary for the world to be protected from the worst consequences of the ever so worrying global climate change.
